Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice for Utility Engineering and Construction, is hiring a Survey Party Chief for our Hampton, VA Professional Services Group (PSG) operation. The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for conducting surveys; performing survey duties; supervising the survey crew, and performing related work as required.
Responsibilities
  • Using GPS equipment to set control, property corner searches, topographic surveys and staking of easements and rights-of-way
  • Occasional use of Total Station for the above
  • Schedule maintenance of company assigned vehicle
  • Communicate with staff on a daily basis
  • Prepare time sheets on a daily/weekly basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Able to operate and train others in the use of survey equipment including conventional and electronic instruments and computers (hardware and software)
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Although not likely, overnight travel may be required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus

Starting pay rate for this position is $28 - $34 / hour depending upon experience.
