We are seeking a skilled and dependable Part Time Day Shift Monitor Technician to join our 3 South Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for a detail oriented healthcare professional who thrives in a fast paced acute care environment and is committed to supporting patient safety through continuous cardiac monitoring and timely clinical communication.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses, Clinical Coordinators, and Nurse Leadership to provide continuous telemetry monitoring, promptly communicate changes in cardiac rhythms, and support daily unit operations. This team cares for telemetry and medical surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and collaborative multidisciplinary care.

Part-time availability: 2 x 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. | Rotating Weekends & Holidays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.


Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Obtain, document, and report vital signs and patient observations.

Monitor and document intake and output, including urine, stool, calorie counts, and patient weight.

Operate EKG equipment, including setup of multilead monitors and rhythm strips.

Assist with telemetry monitoring and communicate rhythm changes to the care team.

Assist with enteral tube feedings under licensed nurse supervision.

Perform delegated procedures such as suctioning, tracheostomy care, chest physiotherapy, and incentive spirometry.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, toileting, feeding, and repositioning.

Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Promote patient safety and maintain a clean, safe care environment.

Perform blood glucose monitoring and specimen collection.

Assist with venipuncture and IV access as directed by the registered nurse.

Perform other duties as assigned.

LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma required.

Valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), preferred.

Ability to recognize and interpret critical cardiac rhythms required.

Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three (3) months of employment if not held at time of hire.

National Paramedic Certification preferred.

One (1) to two (2) years of telemetry monitoring experience preferred.
