What You Will Do:

Efficiently and courteously process all incoming calls, facilitate emergency code paging, and operate a multi-station switchboard to assist internal and external customers.

Answer, route, and place calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.

Handle emergency/disaster code paging and voice paging according to policy.

Maintain awareness of hospital departments, programs, and personnel for accurate call routing.

Update and maintain contact lists, on-call books, and departmental logs.

Operate overhead paging and external paging systems to contact physicians and staff.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.
