Job description

Part-Time Safety and Occupational Health Assessor
Location: Arlington, Virginia, with assessment travel; remote assignment may be authorized by the Government
Employment: Part-time; approximately 1,040 hours annually
Status: Contingent upon contract award
Summit Technologies is seeking a Part-Time Assessor to support the Army National Guard's CASDAP assessment team. The position provides flexible technical and administrative support for remote and onsite evaluations of State and Territory safety and occupational health programs. The anticipated workload includes support for approximately 14 remote and six onsite assessments annually.
Responsibilities
  • Review safety-program documentation, self-assessment results, and supporting evidence.
  • Assist with CASDAP remote assessments and onsite inspections.
  • Enter, review, and analyze assessment information using ASMIS 2.0 and Government-provided tools.
  • Track assessment milestones and coordinate documentation with participating organizations.
  • Identify program gaps, best practices, and potential corrective actions.
  • Help prepare post-assessment analyses, trip reports, trend reports, and technical recommendations.
  • Provide technical assistance to State and Territory safety personnel.
  • Travel to scheduled assessments as required.

Qualifications
  • Experience conducting safety, occupational health, compliance, quality, or program assessments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DoD, Army, or ARNG safety requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and technical-writing skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible, assessment-driven schedule and travel when required.
  • Army, ARNG, military-safety, or Government inspection experience is preferred.
  • OSHA, CSP, NFPA, SOHMS, or comparable safety training is desired.

Candidates must be eligible for installation access, a favorable background investigation, and a Common Access Card.
Note: The anticipated salary range for this contingent upon award position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually. The final offered salary will be determined by the candidate's specific qualifications, relevant experience, location, and the final funding level approved by the client upon contract award.
