Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Safety Coordinator to support our transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will assist with driver compliance, safety monitoring, accident reporting, DOT regulations, and maintaining safety records to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor driver qualification files and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain driver safety records and training documentation.
  • Review and track Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
  • Assist with accident investigations and claims documentation.
  • Monitor CSA scores and safety performance metrics.
  • Conduct safety audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate driver onboarding and safety training.
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA and company safety policies.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding safety concerns and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate safety records.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, or safety compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT regulations, and driver qualification requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
