Position Details:

Human Resources Generalist, Full-time or Part-time, typically M-F 8:00-5:00, may occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours.
Salaried, Exempt; Non-Union

Position Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Assistant or Administrate Assistant role required. SHRM certification preferred.

Job Knowledge:

Solid understanding/experience with human resources and payroll processes, benefit & compensation administration, recruitment & onboarding processes, handling employee relations issues, organizational planning & development, FMLA/leave administration, employment law compliance (FLSA, ADEA, EEO, ADA, FMLA etc.), performance management, employee development, corrective action, employee investigations, regulatory reporting.

Skills:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc.). Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn to use the organizations Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and talent management systems.
