Parts Warehouse
Classification
Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Parts Warehouse employee is responsible for receiving and shipping parts, maintaining and organizing the warehouse, and delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership.
Essential Functions:
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts, ensuring they are in good condition and verifying packing slips for inventory control.
  • Pack and ship parts efficiently to customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, damages, shortages, and other necessary inventory documents.
  • Stock parts in their designated locations after verification.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Keep warehouse bins, aisles, and storage areas clean, organized, and clearly labeled.
  • Assist the Warranty Administrator and Inventory Coordinator as needed.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Maintain a daily log of deliveries and pick-ups, obtaining recipient signatures for verification.
  • Unload the truck nightly, submit all paperwork, and return undelivered parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably one year of experience in parts or warehouse operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with company-specific software is a plus.
  • Drivers must have at least five years of driving experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Full range of motion in arms for reaching and handling tools and parts.
  • Prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting required.
  • Ability to push and pull using wrenches and other tools.
  • Must be able to climb onto and operate equipment.
Work Environment:
  • Primarily indoors around moving equipment and heavy trucks.
  • Possible exposure to extreme weather conditions when working outdoors.
  • May encounter loud noise, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and rotating equipment.
  • May require the use of common protective or safety equipment.
  • Work may include cramped spaces or high places.
