Job description

Description:

General Manager – Parts

Multi-State Equipment Dealership

RECO Equipment, Inc. — St. Clairsville, OH (or negotiable within our footprint)

Full-time | Executive Leadership | ~25% travel | Reports to the President

Lead the parts business for one of the region's largest equipment dealers

RECO Equipment is a construction equipment dealership with 26 branches across nine states (OH, PA, WV, MI, IN, KY, TN, NC, FL) and approximately 350 employees, representing Bobcat, Liebherr, Hitachi, LBX, Rokbak plus our Florida joint venture, Great Southern Equipment (GSE).

We're hiring a General Manager – Parts to own our parts business end to end: the P&L, inventory, OEM programs, pricing, processes, and — most importantly — the training and development of every parts counter and warehouse professional in the company. There is no parts manager layer between you and the branches. You are the parts leader for the entire organization, reporting directly to the President.

If you came up through the parts counter, later ran a large parts operation, and still love being in branches teaching people how to do this business right, this role was built for you.

What You'll Own:

• The consolidated parts P&L across all RECO branches and GSE: revenue, margin, and expense

• Company-wide inventory health: fill rates, turns, stocking discipline, obsolescence, and OEM return program utilization

• Parts pricing strategy across two divisions (Bobcat compact equipment; Liebherr/Hitachi/LBX/Rokbak Enterprise)

• OEM and vendor relationships: stock order terms, return allowances, co-op, and program capture

• Training, process, and development for all parts counter and warehouse personnel — you build the curriculum, set the standards, and develop the people

• A company-wide parts KPI scorecard with branch-level accountability

• Direct authority over all GSE parts operations

Requirements:

How the role works

Our Regional Operations Managers run the branches day-to-day. You provide the functional leadership for the parts discipline — the standards, processes, pricing, inventory rules, and training that every branch executes — and you partner with the ROMs to drive results. At GSE, you hold direct, hard-line authority over parts.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of progressive parts leadership in equipment dealerships (construction, ag, material handling, or truck), including multi-branch responsibility

• P&L ownership of a parts operation of meaningful scale

• Deep knowledge of OEM parts programs, return allowances, and dealer terms

• Proven inventory management results: turns, fill rates, obsolescence, demand planning

• Strong ERP/DMS skills and a data-driven style

• A hands-on trainer and developer of counter and warehouse talent — not a corner-office manager of managers

• Ability to travel across our nine-state footprint (~25%)

Bonus points: experience with Bobcat, Liebherr, Hitachi, LBX, or Rokbak networks; e-commerce parts platforms; telematics-driven parts sales.

Compensation & benefits

• Competitive base salary plus performance incentive tied to parts P&L and KPI targets: [$110,000 – $160,000]

• Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO

• Vehicle allowance or company vehicle
