Job description


What to Expect in the Role:
  • Responsible for parts sales-looking up part numbers, ordering parts, pulling parts from parts bins and invoicing parts for counter customers, the service department and the sales department.
  • Verify receiving parts and whole goods shipments by checking orders against packing lists and entering orders into the company's computer inventory system.
  • Follow up on parts shortages and warranties by completing required forms to manufacturers.
  • Supply service technicians with parts, ordered through parts requisition forms.
  • Responsible for stocking parts bins and merchandising displays. Assemble and stock whole goods displays in showroom areas. Assist in taking parts inventory and updating inventory in company's computer system. Control parts inventory "shrinkage".
  • Maintain customer goodwill.
  • Since many of the responsibilities of a counter clerk overlaps the parts manager, clerk should always work as close as possible with manager to establish harmony.

  • Must be able to read on a high school level.
  • Ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and established accounting procedures.
  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and vendors.
  • Ability to lift heavy parts as needed to complete job assignments.
