Position Summary

The Parts Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative assists customers with identifying, selecting, and purchasing off-road vehicle parts, accessories, and merchandise. This position also supports the Service and Sales departments by ordering parts, maintaining accurate inventory records, processing transactions, and keeping the parts department organized.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent customer experience. Previous parts or powersports experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions professionally.
  • Help customers identify and select the correct parts and accessories for their vehicles.
  • Recommend appropriate products and accessories based on each customer’s needs.
  • Process sales transactions and prepare retail invoices accurately.
  • Manage special orders and communicate order updates to customers.
  • Review purchase orders and place daily parts orders.
  • Look up, order, and distribute parts for service repair orders.
  • Supply service technicians with required parts.
  • Assist the Sales Department with accessories and parts for new units.
  • Complete manufacturer and aftermarket returns promptly.
  • Process parts warranty claims accurately.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties as needed.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Follow up on shortages, back orders, and expedited-order requests.
  • Organize inventory and maintain accurate parts records.
  • Assist with merchandise displays and product presentation.
  • Keep the parts counter and inventory areas clean and organized.
  • Support other departments when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Previous customer service, retail sales, parts, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of off-road vehicles, parts, and accessories is a plus.
  • Interest in powersports or off-roading is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, inventory software, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to accurately handle transactions and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load and move merchandise, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
