Job Description Parts Representative Location: Kansas City, MO Position Summary We are seeking a customer-focused Parts Representative to assist internal technicians and external customers by accurately identifying, sourcing, and distributing equipment parts. This role is responsible for inventory management, order processing, shipping and receiving, customer service, and supporting the overall efficiency of the parts department. Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Assist internal service teams and external customers with parts requests.

Identify correct replacement parts using parts catalogs and inventory software. Recommend substitute or upgraded parts when appropriate. Track lost sales opportunities.

Process customer returns, exchanges, and refunds. Process customer payments and balance cash register. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.

Inventory & Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and stock daily shipments. Order non-stock and special-order parts as needed. Ensure technicians receive the correct parts promptly.

Maintain accurate inventory and parts return records. Process monthly returns of obsolete or slow-moving inventory. Organize and label inventory according to warehouse standards.

Restock returned merchandise and properly identify warranty items. Ship customer orders accurately and on time. Load and unload incoming LTL freight shipments.

Report inventory discrepancies to management. Assist with annual physical inventory counts. Help control inventory expenses and reduce waste.

Sales Support & Marketing Promote current parts and service specials. Support phone sales and customer follow-up activities. Build strong customer relationships through excellent service.

Training & Continuous Improvement Learn and maintain proficiency with the inventory management system. Stay current on new products, ordering procedures, shipping processes, and return policies. Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines. Additional Responsibilities Fill and prepare batteries for parts, sales, and service departments. Pick up and deliver parts to customers and vendors as needed.

Perform additional duties assigned by management. Qualifications Required Skills Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Ability to promote and sell products effectively.

Knowledge of equipment parts, machinery, and basic mechanical applications. Experience with inventory control and warehouse operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based inventory systems.

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexible schedule with the ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Experience Certificate from a technical school or Three or more years of experience in: Parts sales Shipping & receiving Inventory control Warehouse operations Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
