What is a partnerships assistant?

A Partnerships Assistant is a support role within organizations, responsible for assisting partnership managers or teams in developing and maintaining relationships with external partners. They play a key role in ensuring effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of partnership strategies.

Manager, Media Partnerships

Stand Together

Arlington, VA • On-site

$90K - $120K/yr

Full-time

Posted 21 days ago

Job description

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

The Manager of Media Partnerships will be a key contributor to our Media team, supporting Stand Together’s mission to drive social change through impactful media collaborations. This role is essential in transforming our partnerships from project-based engagements to proactive alliances that create mutual benefit and advance our core initiatives.

In this role, you will support operational excellence across a portfolio of media partnerships, bringing content to life that advances our vision. By collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll ensure strategic alignment, efficient workflows, and high standards in execution. Your contributions will lay the foundation for a world-class partnerships capability that positions Stand Together as a trusted and principled partner in the media landscape.

How You Will Contribute
  • Develop, drive, and track partnership plans in collaboration with Director of Partnerships and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing a portfolio of relationships with production studios to foster preferred partnerships. Contribute to building long-term, win-win opportunities by coordinating with Stand Together leadership and issue experts as needed.
  • Establish and maintain workflows and best practices to support a growing portfolio of partnerships, ensuring seamless execution and laying the groundwork for proactive alliances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage timelines, project tracking, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication. Ensure accountability for deliverables, including contracts and payments.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, actionable creative briefs for content partnerships.
  • Support the development and management of media partnerships, helping to ensure projects align with our strategic vision and are executed smoothly from start to finish.
  • Provide operational support for the development and production of media projects, including films, series, podcasts, short-form content, and special projects. Coordinate with partners and internal teams to ensure smooth production and alignment with project needs.
What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years of diverse operations and project management experience, collaborating with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in project management tools specifically Airtable, Asana, Workfront, and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with experience in condensing large amounts of information into clear, concise reports and project briefs.
  • Proficiency in setting deadlines, logistics, and operational plans for complex projects and programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a natural curiosity for finding solutions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of urgency and ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in changing landscapes.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
What We Offer
  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.
  • Competitive compensation: Our approach rewards the value you create through competitive salaries and bonus opportunities, allowing you to share in the success you help drive.

For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $90,000–$120,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.

Our Principles-Based Management™ (PBM) compensation philosophy is grounded in an individualized approach that rewards the long-term value each person creates for the organization. Compensation decisions are informed by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution. Consistent with this approach, base salary may vary within or outside of the anticipated range based on these considerations.

Our Values: Working for an organization within the Stand Together philanthropic community is different from many other places. The culture is deeply rooted in Principle Based Management® (PBM®), a framework guided by the principles that drive human progress, such as dignity, openness, and bottom-up empowerment. PBM® empowers employees to be entrepreneurial, to innovate, and to continually drive transformation.

We believe diversity fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success.  That is why we’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and strive to treat all employees and applicants with honesty, dignity, and respect.
