Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Attorney (Non-Partnership Track) to join a highly respected global law firm.

Location: Miami, FL

Practice Area: Litigation

Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join a sophisticated litigation practice within a leading international law firm. The role is ideal for a candidate seeking high-level litigation work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment while working on a non-partnership track with meaningful client exposure and substantive responsibility.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of litigation experience handling matters in both state and federal courts. The practice includes complex commercial litigation with desired exposure to healthcare and/or ERISA-related matters. Candidates with strong case management skills, deposition experience, and motion practice expertise will be well-positioned for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Handle discovery disputes and oversee day-to-day case management
  • Participate in hearings, client meetings, settlement discussions, and litigation strategy development
  • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and clients on active matters
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a collegial team environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
  • Strong experience with pleadings, motion practice, depositions, and discovery management
  • Experience with healthcare litigation and/or ERISA matters preferred
  • Prior judicial clerkship experience is a plus
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and client management abilities
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar required
