Job Description

As the Director of Business Development will support the Corporate Services segment for Western Canada you will target account development for Food and Facilities Management services in key sectors to help grow new business revenue. You will be responsible for outbound outreach to new clients in order to pre-qualify, build, and nurture pipeline for Segment Sales.

You will grow this new business by identifying and working a target list of prospective clients through phone, email, social, web and other digital applications to generate qualified opportunities.  You will also be responsible for driving and closing smaller transactional revenue opportunities in high velocity engagements within mid to large sized target market. As Director of Business Development, you will be expected to work in close collaboration with Marketing, Inside sales, and the Proposal team, specifically:

  • Work on outbound account-based campaigns in conjunction with Marketing and Sales    
  • Identify leads through targeted outreach via phone, email, web, social, and internal systems
  • Represent Sodexo in trade shows and relevant business and partnership fairs: present and articulate solutions, engage with prospects, etc.
  • Advance and close transactional sales through high velocity engagements within a mid to large sized target market    
  • Attend, participate and present in Team, Segment, and other relevant reoccurring meetings
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of solid experience selling to C Suite stakeholders
  • Experience selling food services, facilities management, or property management services or comparable services
  • Experienced sales experience within the (Telecom, Finance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals) sector would be an asset
  • Experience responding to complex RFP’s with and large-volume, multi-service, multi-year contracts
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with sales database management system (CRM)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Superior writing skills
  • Proficiency in understanding financial operating statements and preparing proformas
  • Bilingual in French and English is preferred
  • Travel will be required across Western Canada (about 40% of your time)
