Through free tax preparation, financial coaching, financial education, public benefits assistance, and strategic partnerships, CASH serves more than 25,000 households annually while advancing policies that expand economic opportunity across Maryland.

Position Summary

The Sr. Program Associate, Partner Success provides leadership for the recruitment, placement, onboarding, coaching, retention, and overall success of approximately 20 Maryland Corps Benefit Navigator Members assigned to as many as five host organizations throughout Maryland. This is a unique set of Maryland Corps Members who will focus on assisting people to access and retain supportive services such as food, energy, and childcare benefits. The Sr. Program Associate serves as the primary liaison among CASH, the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI), host organizations, and Corps Members, ensuring program quality, compliance, strong partnerships, and successful participant outcomes

Success in the First Year

The successful Sr. Program Associate will establish themselves as a trusted leader for the Maryland Corps Benefit Navigator initiative by building strong relationships with Corps Members, host organizations, and DSCI while delivering measurable program results. By the end of the first year, success will typically include:

Recruiting, onboarding, and successfully supporting approximately 20 Maryland Corps Benefit Navigator Members.

Building strong, collaborative relationships with each host organization and DSCI representatives.

Meeting or exceeding program performance goals, reporting requirements, and compliance expectations.

Improving Corps Member engagement, retention, and host site satisfaction.

Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and participant outcomes.

Representing CASH as a respected partner and ambassador throughout Maryland.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership

    Provide overall leadership for the Maryland Corps Benefit Navigator initiative.

    Monitor program performance metrics and participant outcomes.

    Prepare executive reports for leadership and funding partners.

    Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and improve program effectiveness.

      Recruitment, Member Success & Retention (50%)

      Lead recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and placement of approximately 20 Corps Members.

      Develop recruitment partnerships with colleges, workforce organizations, and community groups.

      Educate and support Benefit Navigators in core job functions to ensure they meet professional standards.

      Support their content training to ensure that they understand best practices for conducting community outreach, public benefits screening, and enrollment assistance. (CASH staff and DHS staff will provide technical benefits training).

      Coach, mentor, and support Corps Members through regular one-on-one meetings.

      Monitor attendance, performance, professional development, and program completion.

      Host Site Partnership Management (30%)

      Serve as the primary liaison among CASH, DSCI, Corps Members, and host organizations.

      Conduct site visits, resolve placement concerns, and ensure compliance.

      Maintain strong relationships with host organizations and share best practices.

      Program Administration & Community Engagement (20%)

      Maintain program records and performance data.

      Assist with grant reporting and compliance.

      Represent CASH at meetings, coalitions, conferences, and community events.

      Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

      Three to five years of progressively responsible nonprofit or program management experience.

      Excellent communication, organizational, coaching, and project management skills.

      Experience building partnerships with multiple stakeholders.

      Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Maryland.

      Preferred: Maryland Corps/AmeriCorps, public benefits, grant-funded programs, and CRM experience.

      Work Environment

      Hybrid schedule with a minimum of two in-office days per week. Regular statewide travel is required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and transport outreach materials.

      Compensation & Benefits

      Salary Range: $57,000-$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits include employer-paid medical, dental and vision insurance, 403(b) with employer match, disability coverage, health spending account, cell phone reimbursement, parking/transit benefit, generous paid time off, and professional development support.
