This individual will play a critical role in expanding market presence by identifying, pursuing, and closing new client opportunities across key markets including Baltimore, Washington, DC, Wilmington, Charlotte, and Raleigh.

This position is a pure new business development role, responsible for generating revenue through new logo acquisition. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, consultative sales professional with a proven ability to build pipeline from the ground up and close complex services engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to generate net-new business opportunities within the Mid-Atlantic territory
  • Own the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, and closing
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and targeted account strategies
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers to understand business challenges and position tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with internal delivery, engineering, and solution teams to develop customized service offerings
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and performance targets
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in net-new business development within a services-based sales environment
  • Experience (8 – 10+ years) selling custom software development, digital transformation, or IT consulting services
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline independently and close complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging C-level stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a high-autonomy environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into enterprise-level organizations within the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Existing network or relationships across Baltimore, DC, Wilmington, Charlotte, or Raleigh markets
  • Background working within a global delivery or offshore/onshore model
  • Familiarity with modern technology stacks and digital transformation initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary in the mid-$100K range
  • Uncapped commission structure with on-target earnings of $300K+
  • Performance-based incentives and career growth opportunities
  • Initial ramp period supported by MBO-based performance metrics prior to full quota attainment

Additional Information

This role is designed for a true “hunter” sales professional. It is not focused on account management, renewals, or expanding existing client relationships. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to business development, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
