Job description


As a Product Manager on Best Buy's Search Experience team, you'll be responsible for improving the performance and stability of the experiences that help millions of customers discover products across BestBuy.com and the Best Buy mobile app. You'll partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, business, and operations teams to identify opportunities, define priorities, and deliver measurable improvements to our customer experience and business outcomes. This role combines strategy, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional leadership as you ensure that our customers can quickly and seamlessly find what they need regardless of device or channel. You'll need to define product priorities, measure impact through experimentation, and influence partner teams and stakeholders across the organization. Success in this role requires a strong customer mindset, data-driven decision making, and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams through complex technical and product challenges.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What you'll do
  • Support the definition and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for performance across product discover experiences, including the search, browse, and promotional listing pages
  • Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and architecture teams to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve the customer experience, site speed, reliability, and business performance
  • Establish and drive key performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals and other experience health indicators across web and app
  • Use customer insights, analytics, experimentation, and operational data to identify friction point sand validate product investments
  • Balance customer outcomes, technical investments, and business objectives to make informed prioritization and tradeoff decisions
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, operations, legal, partner product teams, business and other key stakeholders
  • Translate complex technical challenges into clear customer and business outcomes for leaders and partners across the organization
  • Build strong partnerships with engineering teams to continuously improve the scalability, performance, and resilience of product discovery experiences
  • Measure product impact through experimentation, performance monitoring, and KPI tracking, using learnings to inform future strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Contribute to product operating mechanisms including roadmap planning, prioritization, OKRs, and regular business reviews

Basic qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience or related experience delivering digital products, platforms, or customer experiences
  • 2+ years of experience using data, experimentation, and customer insights to drive product decisions and measure outcomes
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence priorities and drive alignment across multiple teams and partners
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field OR equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience improving digital customer experiences through performance, reliability, scalability, or usability initiatives
  • Familiarity with web and mobile experience metrics such as Core Web Vitals, page performance, latency, and other application health indicators
  • Experience leading product teams and partnering with engineering teams on highly technical product challenges
  • Experience working in retail, e-commerce, search, discovery, content, and/or customer-facing experiences
