Partner Director information

What is a partner director?

A Partner Director is a senior leadership position responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with key partners, such as other companies, vendors, or organizations. They identify opportunities for collaboration, negotiate partnership agreements, and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Partner Directors often work closely with internal teams to align partner activities with the company's goals, drive revenue growth, and expand market reach. Their role is crucial in building long-term partnerships that support business objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a partner director?

To thrive as a Partner Director, you need expertise in strategic partnership management, business development, and a proven track record in leadership, typically supported by a relevant degree and extensive industry experience. Familiarity with CRM platforms, partnership management tools, and contract negotiation systems is commonly required. Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills help foster strong alliances and drive collaborative success. These competencies are crucial for developing high-value partnerships that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable business results.

What are some common challenges partner directors face when managing strategic alliances, and how can they overcome them?

Partner Directors often encounter challenges such as aligning organizational goals across different companies, navigating complex stakeholder relationships, and ensuring clear communication between teams. Successfully overcoming these hurdles requires strong negotiation skills, the ability to build consensus, and a proactive approach to conflict resolution. Regular check-ins, transparent reporting structures, and fostering a culture of collaboration are also key strategies that help maintain productive partnerships and drive mutual success.

Job description

About Agentio

Agentio enables marketers to buy creator led ads as easily and scalably as Meta or Google ads—automating sourcing, pricing, contracting, delivery, and measurement with AI—so work that took months now happens in minutes.

We’re on a mission to transform a $800B digital ad ecosystem by shifting digital ad spend into the hands of creators. That means better outcomes for marketers and enabling creators to live off their work—finally being paid in proportion to the value they create. That shift is accelerating: Unilever’s CEO has said the company will move roughly half of its ad budget into social and creators—Unilever is among the world’s largest advertisers, spending around $9–10B annually. As these dollars move, they need performance-grade pipes; Agentio is how those dollars flow to creators with the speed, control, and measurement marketers expect. We enable brands like Uber, DoorDash, and Bombas to run creator campaigns with the same rigor, control, and accountability as their core performance channels.

Agentio has raised $56M to date at a $340M valuation, including a recent Series B led by Forerunner, which followed our Series A within a calendar year. Our investors also include Benchmark, Craft, and AlleyCorp. Agentio has been named to Forbes’ Next Billion Dollar Startups, 2025, and our platform is already used and loved by the world’s leading marketers and creators. We are just getting started!

The Role

As an Agency Partnerships Director, you will own and grow Agentio’s relationships with major agency holding companies and top enterprise agencies. You’ll act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, helping agency leadership and client teams integrate Agentio into their marketing strategies and drive meaningful business outcomes for their brands.

This is a high-touch, consultative role focused on long-term partnership development, revenue growth, and executive-level influence.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and deepen strategic partnerships with enterprise agencies and agency holding companies, from day-to-day operators to senior leadership.

  • Own a portfolio of enterprise agency relationships and drive revenue growth, adoption, and retention across key accounts.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to agencies, helping them translate client goals into effective creator-led campaigns using Agentio.

  • Lead account planning and joint business planning with agencies to identify growth opportunities and align on long-term strategy.

  • Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations and recommendations that influence agency planning and client outcomes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing to ensure a seamless partner experience and resolve complex needs.

  • Represent the voice of agency partners internally to help shape Agentio’s product roadmap, processes, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Stay deeply informed on industry trends, agency dynamics, and the evolving creator economy to position Agentio as a category leader.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in agency sales or working within an agency and 8-20 years general media/advertising experience

  • Proven ability to drive results against revenue and growth goals in a consultative, relationship-driven environment.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at the C-suite and senior leadership level.

  • Analytical and strategic mindset—comfortable using data and insights to guide recommendations and decision-making.

  • Experience operating cross-functionally and navigating ambiguity in fast-moving environments.

  • Bonus: experience in creator marketing, influencer platforms, marketplaces, or digital advertising ecosystems.

What Success Looks Like
  • Strong, durable relationships with enterprise agencies and holding-company leadership.

  • Growing agency-driven revenue and expansion across existing partnerships.

  • High agency satisfaction, trust, and long-term retention.

  • Agentio positioned as a preferred creator partner within top agencies.

Benefits & Perks
  • Flexible PTO – Take the time you need to recharge

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage – Top medical plan through Aetna

  • Dental & Vision Plans – Protect your smile and your sight with coverage from Guardian

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Invest in your future while you build your career

  • $100 Monthly Lifestyle Credit – Use it to shop with our amazing Agentio Brand Partners

  • Free Lunch 5x a week! – We order lunch as a team on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

  • Gym in the building! – Your workout, right downstairs

Agentio is an equal-opportunity employer. All aspects of employment will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law
