Role summary:
DBD is seeking a forward-thinking Business Development Lead to drive expansion across our US West portfolio.

Reporting to the Growth Partner, this role will lead strategic growth initiatives, build senior client relationships and position DBD as a trusted delivery partner across major programmes and frameworks.

You will combine sector insight with commercial leadership to unlock new opportunities, strengthen market presence and support long-term business growth.

What you will be doing:

  • Defining and executing the US Nuclear West sector growth strategy in alignment with DBD’s wider objectives.

  • Identifying and converting opportunities across civil nuclear, decommissioning and related energy markets.

  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders across operators, regulators, Tier 1 contractors and delivery partners.

  • Expanding existing frameworks and contracts to increase scope and value.

  • Leading commercial negotiations and supporting bid strategy.

  • Collaborating with technical capability leads to shape competitive, differentiated solutions.

  • Aligning opportunity pipeline with workforce and resourcing strategy.

  • Providing accurate pipeline forecasting and market intelligence.

  • Acting as a senior representative of DBD across industry engagements and events.

Formal qualifications or training:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.

  • Proven business development experience within defence, civil nuclear, decommissioning or broader regulated energy markets.

  • Strong understanding of US nuclear industries and commercial models.
