Position Summary

The Rental Partner Coordinator (RPC) is responsible for leasing or subleasing units for the agency’s Transition in Place (TIP) programs including Family TIP and the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) joint Transitional Housing / Rapid Re-Housing (TH-RRH) model. These programs provide flexible, scattered-site affordable housing to help individuals and families exit homelessness.

Some of the duties include:

  • Search for housing units and promote the agency TIP programs (online/via phone/in person)
  • Develop strong relationships with and serve as primary contact for property owners/managers
  • Determine site viability through rent determinations, comp analyses, and unit inspections
  • Ensure all units pass inspection and coordinate needed corrections with owners/managers
  • Explain and secure agreements/contracts including RFLA, HAP, master lease, addenda
  • Work with Special Project Facilitator to ensure owners/managers receive timely payments
  • Coordinate and oversee furniture distribution and move-ins for new tenants
  • Collect and track program files and data using Excel, shared drivers, internal database, and HMIS
  • Work with the Data Specialist to ensure data is entered timely and completely, in compliance with funder and agency requirements.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required meetings including weekly case conference calls
  • Actively participate in agency-wide activities including quality improvement and staff trainings
  • Work closely with other RPC and Housing Manager to share above duties and others as assigned

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Some experience working with people experiencing homelessness, veterans, people with substance use disorders, people with re-entry backgrounds, and/or other relevant social service populations, preferred. Deep understanding of HUD/CoC housing resources/philosophies (TH, RRH, Housing First, etc.) preferred. A Valid Ohio Driver’s license and proof of insurance, required
