Participative leadership, also known as democratic leadership, involves including team members in decision-making processes and valuing their input. Examples include holding regular team meetings to gather ideas before making key decisions, creating open forums for feedback on company policies, and involving employees in setting goals or strategies. Leaders who use this style may delegate responsibilities, encourage collaboration, and seek consensus, fostering a sense of ownership and engagement among team members.

While this style may require more time to reach consensus, it fosters trust and often improves overall productivity. Job seekers should be prepared to facilitate group meetings and encourage input from all team members while balancing the need to make timely decisions.
