Part-Time Housekeeper: Needed at Clatsop Care Retirement Village Assisted Living Facility.

POSITION PURPOSE: To maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner using established procedures in response to requirements and as directed by supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Follow established Housekeeping Policies and Procedures.

Follow Safety Rules and Regulations. Assist in the department Safety and Fire Prevention programs as directed. Follow and maintain established procedures on cross-contaminations and Infection Control issues. Dust mop and damp mop floor surfaces. Clean and wash all basins, commodes, lavatories and fixtures and surrounding areas. Dust all surfaces including light fixtures, lamps and window ledges in assigned work area. Empty and change liners in all waste cans daily, or when needed. Clean equipment and work areas daily and restock housekeeping cart. Attend to care of live plants in common and resident areas. Report any repairs needed to Environmental Supervisor through work request forms.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess ability to learn and follow directions.


UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS: Exposure to Blood/Body fluids is possible.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
