Job description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a premier healthcare organization in Blue Ridge, GA, to hire compassionate, skilled and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) committed to delivering excellent patient care and supporting a strong team culture across the Surgical and Med-Surg/Swing Bed Units.

As an RN you will plan, coordinate, and evaluate individualized patient care while collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality treatment.

Shift Options: Part-Time | PRN | Nights  

Opportunities available:

  • Surgical Unit RN positions
  • Med-surg / Swing Bed Unit RN positions

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality patient care and assess patient needs
  • Monitor conditions and respond to changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate critical updates
  • Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Promote a safe and organized care environment
  • Support and mentor nursing staff as needed including LPNs, CNAs, and new nursing staff
  • Maintain licensure, professional standards and required certifications
  • Perform Patient Care Technician and Unit Coordinator functions as needed
  • Perform additional unit support duties as required
  • Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and service excellence practices

Swing Bed-Specific Responsibilities

  • Support patient recovery, rehabilitation, and functional improvement
  • Coordinate care with therapy, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Assist with mobility, ADLs, and promoting patient independence
  • Monitor progress toward individualized recovery goals
  • Support discharge planning and transition of care
  • Educate patients and families on recovery, medications, and follow-up care

·         Recognize and escalate changes requiring higher-level care

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ASN, or BSN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
  • Current CPR certification; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred 

Additional Requirements

  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care
  • Collaborative, professional, & adaptable with commitment to safety and accountability & growth

Swing Bed-Specific Qualifications

  • Swing Bed or transitional care nursing experience preferred
  • Experience caring for patients requiring rehabilitation and continued medical care
  • Knowledge of discharge planning and transition-of-care processes
  • Ability to support mobility, rehabilitation, and functional recovery goals
