The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with ABM to find qualified candidates for a Lead Cleaner in New Jersey. ABM is looking for a reliable and experienced Lead Cleaner to ensure all facility operations follow policies and procedures. They coordinate daily operations by delegating job assignments and providing guidance. A Lead Cleaner provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Shift Leader demonstrates established standards to keep the buildings/facilities clean and safe for all workers and customers. This role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

This position is located in Edison, NJ. 

• Provide leadership and direction to team members 
• Relay communication between team members, client, customers and management 
• Report performance issues to the Supervisor
• Assist with the training of cleaning team
• Coordinate work assignments 
• Assist with making daily and weekly work schedules 
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned building 
• Manage security of keys and access cards for the property 
• Report work orders for maintenance
• Makes sure premises are secured at all times

• Must have 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
• Customer service skills are a must 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates who can effectively communicate with the team, supervisors, and the client when needed.
