Company Overview

The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC) to find qualified candidates for an Assistant Director of Case Management in Staten Island, New York. Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Staten Islanders age 60 and older live as independently as possible in their communities. CASC works collaboratively with older adults, honoring their independence, life experiences, and the importance of family, friends, and community support.

Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Case Management supports the Program Director in overseeing the daily operations and quality of the Case Management Program. This role provides leadership, supervision, staff training, quality assurance, and operational support to help ensure high-quality services for older adults. The Assistant Director collaborates with community partners, oversees program data and workflow, and supports compliance with NYC Aging standards.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Program Director with quality improvement activities, reporting, and program oversight.
  • Conduct supervisory reviews and quality assurance activities.
  • Assign client cases and monitor workflow and caseload distribution.
  • Supervise the Intake Coordinator, student interns, and assigned staff.
  • Develop and implement staff training tools and identify training opportunities.
  • Oversee the STARS data management system and monitor data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with community service providers and support high-risk client needs.
  • Provide program coverage during the Program Director's absence and assist with hiring, orientation, and staff training.
Requirements
  • Master in Social Work or Master of Science degree required.
  • Must have 2 or more years of supervisory and administrative experience.
  • Experience providing direct services to the senior population. preferred
  • Must have SIFI certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of the NYC Aging VIVE database is a plus.
  • Strong assessment, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of community resources and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
