CSD's people and programs deliver personalized, professional, evidence-based behavioral and developmental services to each participant and peace of mind to caregivers that their loved ones are in the right hands and receiving the best possible care.

What is an HR Coordinator?

The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring Human Resources processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. This role partners closely with employees, managers, and HR team members to support onboarding, compliance, employee records, workers' compensation administration, employment verification, and offboarding while delivering exceptional customer service.

What your role is:Employee Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions by responding to HR inquiries through Zendesk and directing requests to the appropriate HR team members.
  • Provide timely, professional customer service while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support employees and managers by providing guidance on HR processes, policies, and documentation.
New Hire Administration
  • Process Form I-9 documentation and complete E-Verify requirements in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding documents, including Wage Theft Prevention Notices and other required employment forms.
  • Participate in weekly live I-9 verification sessions.
  • Complete state-required New Hire Reporting.
  • Create employee identification badges and update employee information in CentralReach and other HR systems.
Compliance & Employee Records
  • Monitor employee compliance requirements, including driver's licenses, automobile insurance, tuberculosis (TB) documentation, certifications, and other required credentials.
  • Track Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), work visas, and employment eligibility expirations, providing reminders and follow-up as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Assist with compliance reporting, recurring audits, and training administration.
  • Conduct minimum wage research and support company-wide wage updates during scheduled implementation periods.
Workers' Compensation & HR Administration
  • Support workers' compensation claim administration by coordinating documentation, maintaining claim files, communicating with employees and supervisors, and assisting with claim follow-up activities.
  • Process employment verification requests and respond to Employment Development Department (EDD) inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation to support compliance and organizational reporting.
Offboarding Administration
  • Coordinate equipment return logistics by preparing FedEx shipping labels for separated employees.
  • Upload and maintain separation documentation within employee personnel files.
  • Track equipment returns and assist with offboarding documentation and recordkeeping.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and cross-functional teams to support department initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
  • Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.
What's required from you?
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • One to three years of Human Resources, administrative, or operations experience.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and business systems such as Workday, CentralReach, Zendesk, E-Verify, or similar applications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and employee recordkeeping preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating multiple technology platforms and databases.
