Job description

Provide clinical leadership and deliver patient-centered care across local skilled nursing facilities in Springfield, Missouri. This part-time role partners with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to oversee medical management, coordinate care for post-acute and long-term patients, and support quality outcomes within assigned facilities. The schedule is flexible, collaborative, and designed to support a strong work–life balance.

Practice locations

  • Primary: Springfield, Missouri area (local skilled nursing facilities)
  • Current facility opportunities include Columbia, Doniphan, St. Charles, and Strafford, Missouri
  • Additional site opportunities nationwide: GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Key responsibilities

  • Provide attending physician coverage at skilled nursing facilities, typically 1–2 days per week per facility
  • Supervise and collaborate with NPs and PAs to manage patient care plans, transitions, and clinical interventions
  • Deliver timely documentation and clinical decision-making to support patient safety and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a clinical leader and advocate for quality improvement initiatives

Schedule and practice model

  • Part-time with flexible scheduling; no fixed daily start/end times
  • No call, no overnight shifts
  • Typical patient volume: 18–25 visits per day
