Youth Care Specialist, part-time, weekend morning shifts.

At Every Childโ€™s Hope (ECH), we partner with the community to support children, youth, and families in their pursuit of health and wholeness through quality, professional, and faithful services. Rooted in a trauma-informed approach, our mission is to provide hope for every child and healing for every familyโ€”every day. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youth in our residential treatment program. This position is central to promoting healing, building resilience, and supporting youth in overcoming adversity and reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Safety

ยท Provide attuned, trauma-sensitive supervision to ensure youth safety and accountability at all times.

ยท Maintain secure and sanitary living areas free from contraband and hazards, while respecting youth dignity and autonomy.

Treatment Support

ยท Participate actively in treatment team meetings, contributing insights that reflect youth strengths and needs.

ยท Apply Safe Crisis Management techniques and Trauma-Informed Care principles to de-escalate situations and promote emotional regulation.

ยท Administer medications per agency policy and respond to crises with calm, compassionate intervention.

Daily Living & Life Skills

ยท Facilitate daily routines that promote predictability and emotional safety.

ยท Provide hands-on instruction in life skills such as hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and fitness, emphasizing empowerment and self-efficacy.

Communication & Documentation

ยท Complete progress notes and treatment documentation accurately and on time, using strength-based language.

ยท Reporting Conduct maintenance and safety needs, modeling shared responsibility and pride in space.

Professionalism & Community Engagement

ยท Foster trusting, respectful relationships with youth, staff, and community partners.

ยท Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality, especially regarding trauma histories.

ยท Participate in required training and promote a positive, inclusive youth culture that reflects ECHโ€™s values.

ยท Maintain open, respectful communication with staff via logs, email, and meetings to ensure collaborative care.

Job Type: Part-time, weekends, morning shifts, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, day shifts 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

    ยท Required to pass physical examination.

    ยท Required to obtain and maintain training and certification as mandated by Licensing Regulations
