JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Overview

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

- Must have or obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority

- Must be at least 18 years old

- Level II TX License required

Duties & Responsibilities

Patrol & Surveillanceโ€ข Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concernsโ€ข Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentialsโ€ข Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity

Incident Response & Reportingโ€ข Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocolโ€ข Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidentsโ€ข Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)

Customer Service & Policy Enforcementโ€ข Assist visitors and employees professionallyโ€ข Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocolsโ€ข Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)

Required Skills & Abilities

Minimumโ€ข Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsโ€ข Weekend availabilityโ€ข Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skillsโ€ข Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situationsโ€ข Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting

Preferredโ€ข Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation (subject to change based on client-specific needs)

Education & Experience

Minimumโ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferredโ€ข 1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experienceโ€ข 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
