Seattle, WA | $150,000โ€“$300,000 + Relocation Assistance | Full-Time, Part-Time, or Hybrid

The Opportunity

This is a PE-level engineering role focused on water infrastructure, treatment systems, and environmental compliance across a range of complex, high-impact projects. You'll bring technical depth in water resources and environmental engineering to work that directly shapes sustainable water management outcomes. The position offers genuine scheduling flexibility โ€” full-time, part-time, or hybrid โ€” making it a strong fit for experienced engineers at any career stage.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Lead and support water infrastructure projects spanning water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water resources management
  • Apply modeling tools including SWMM, HEC software packages, and ArcGIS for hydraulic analysis, data collection, and project planning
  • Produce engineering drawings and designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Mechanical CAD platforms
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across concurrent assignments
  • Conduct site visits for geotechnical assessments, environmental data collection, and construction oversight
  • Navigate environmental permitting and regulatory submissions in accordance with EPA standards and applicable environmental law
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental consulting and remediation work, including regulatory reporting
  • Support research tied to water systems in manufacturing, oil and gas, or other sectors with water resource implications
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation throughout all project phases
What We're Looking For
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil or environmental engineering โ€” required
  • Demonstrated experience with water treatment systems, wastewater treatment processes, and water resources engineering
  • Proficiency across modeling and design platforms: SWMM, HEC tools, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Mechanical CAD
  • Working knowledge of EPA regulations, environmental permitting procedures, and environmental compliance standards
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles as applied to water infrastructure
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple technical workstreams
  • Clear, effective communication with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams
  • Mechanical knowledge related to water systems or manufacturing processes is a plus
