Vice President of Operations (Dental)


Location: Long Island, NY Region

Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 Base Salary + Bonus Potential


We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple dental practices. This executive-level role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing performance, supporting practice growth, and ensuring exceptional patient care throughout a multi-site dental organization.

This position requires regular travel throughout the Long Island territory, with occasional travel for leadership and operational meetings.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support long-term growth and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.


Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple dental practices.
  • Implement and maintain operational standards, policies, and workflows.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and utilize data-driven decision-making to improve outcomes.
  • Support practice managers in achieving operational and financial objectives.


Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders and practice teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.


Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations and standards.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain health, safety, business continuity, and disaster recovery protocols.


Financial Performance

  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
  • Partner with revenue cycle and practice leadership teams to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-site dental operations or practice management experience, preferably within a DSO or large group practice environment.
  • Strong understanding of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of dental industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
