In addition, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help credentialed technicians achieve your goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver . Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP.


To set you up for success from day 1,

  • We gift you a *wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on LVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days.

What does your day look like at Partner?


The PVESC ER/UC Licensed Veterinary Technicianโ€™s emphasis is on day-to-day patient care, sedation, and anesthetic/procedural workflows. Helping to stabilize emergency cases, you will also run cytologies and administer blood transfusions. You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources to enable optimal patient outcomes.

Our 20,000 square foot reimagined building and team design includes:

    Ample fluid pumps, syringe pumps, and monitoring equipment to enable quality patient care

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year veterinary technician experience
  • Veterinary ER or Urgent Care experience is preferred, but not required
  • Credentialed Technician โ€œin good standingโ€ in your current state and eligible to transfer registration to Virginia
  • Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices
  • A curious and motivated energy

Physical Requirements (ability to):

  • Ability to quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
