SUMMARY OVERVIEWย ย 

Theย Vendor Baggage Agent Tagโ€™sย main duty is to ensure passenger luggage is handled promptly, efficiently, and safely. You will load and unload baggage from the conveyor belt and aircraft, carefully sorting luggage by flight destination. Following safety and security guidelines is crucial to maintain a secure airport environment. This team-oriented role involves working in various weather conditions, lifting heavy items, and operating ground support equipment as needed.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIESย ย 

  • Load and unload passenger luggage and cargo on and off aircraftย 
  • Operate baggage handling equipment such as conveyor belts and trolleysย 
  • Sort and route baggage to the correct flight and carouselย 
  • Ensure timely delivery of baggage to and from aircraftย 
  • Inspect baggage for damage or security risks and report any issuesย 
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling baggageย 
  • Work closely with other ground staff to ensure efficient baggage processingย 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baggage handling areaย 
  • Collaborate with security personnel to ensure adherence to airport security measuresย 
  • Participate in training sessions on baggage handling procedures and equipmentย 
  • Coordinate with airline staff for special luggage handling, such as oversized or fragile itemsย 
  • Record and report baggage handling activities as per company and airport regulationsย 
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsย 
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by managementย ย 

QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • 18 years of age or olderย 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.ย 
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)ย 
  • One year of customer service experienceย 
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including theย useย ofย electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devicesย 
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansย 
  • Pass a background check and drug screenย ย 
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).ย 
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to beย flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysย ย
