What is a part time virtual assistant?

Part-time virtual assistants (VAs) are professionals who provide administrative, technical, or creative support to businesses or individuals remotely for a limited number of hours per week. They handle tasks such as scheduling, email management, data entry, research, and social media management, typically working from home or another remote location. Hiring a part-time VA is a flexible and cost-effective way for businesses to delegate routine tasks without committing to a full-time employee.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a part time virtual assistant?

To thrive as a Part Time Virtual Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, proficiency in administrative tasks, and familiarity with remote work environments, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project management software, and communication platforms such as Zoom or Slack is often required. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help virtual assistants stand out in supporting clients remotely. These abilities ensure efficient workflow, clear communication, and reliable support, which are crucial for success in a remote, part-time role.

How do part time virtual assistants typically manage communication and collaboration with remote teams?

Part-time Virtual Assistants (VAs) often use a variety of digital tools—such as Slack, Zoom, or Trello—to stay connected with their clients and team members. Because they work remotely and may have limited hours, VAs need to be proactive in clarifying expectations and scheduling regular check-ins to ensure smooth collaboration. Clear written communication and strong organizational skills are essential, as tasks and priorities can shift quickly. By leveraging shared calendars and project management platforms, part-time VAs can stay aligned with team goals and maintain productivity despite not being physically present.

Job description

Carson, CA | Part-Time / Flexible Schedule | Per-Patient Compensation

West Coast Sports & Fitness Center is seeking a California Licensed Physical Therapist to join our established multidisciplinary healthcare and rehabilitation practice in Carson.

A Unique Opportunity to Build Without Starting From Scratch

We are an established VA Community Care Provider and have received strong interest and requests from VA Long Beach and VA Greater Los Angeles to expand our services to include Physical Therapy.
We already have the facility, patient population, referral relationships, administrative infrastructure, and rehabilitation space. We are looking for the right PT to help us develop and grow this service.
Our center currently provides Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Stretch Therapy, Exercise Therapy, rehabilitation and fitness services under one roof.
We also serve veterans, members of various local labor unions, public-sector employees and community organizations, and have established relationships within the City of Carson and programs involving the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
Why Join Us?
This is an excellent opportunity for a PT who wants to grow a patient base without the expense and risk of opening a standalone clinic.

 We offer:
·        Existing demand for Physical Therapy services
·        Established VA Community Care patient population
·        Medicare and Blue Shield participation for Physical Therapy
·        Fully equipped exercise and rehabilitation space
·        Existing administrative and clinical infrastructure
·        Multidisciplinary referral opportunities
·        Flexible days and hours
·        Competitive per-patient compensation
·        Opportunity to bring and grow your own existing patient population
·        Potential to expand the position as patient volume grows
We understand that an experienced PT may already have another position or professional commitments. We can work together to determine the days and hours that make the most sense.

Our per-patient compensation structure also creates an attractive opportunity for a motivated PT as the Physical Therapy patient base expands.

 Responsibilities

·        Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
·        Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and rehabilitation
·        Monitor and document patient progress
·        Develop home exercise and injury-prevention programs
·        Collaborate with our chiropractic, acupuncture and rehabilitation team
·        Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
·        Provide high-quality care for orthopedic, musculoskeletal, sports and rehabilitation patients
Requirements

·        Active California Physical Therapist license
·        DPT or equivalent qualifying degree
·        Current professional liability/malpractice insurance
·        Current CPR certification
·        Strong documentation and communication skills
·        Good professional and licensing standing
·        Outpatient, orthopedic, sports rehabilitation or veterans' care experience preferred

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for more than someone to simply fill hours. We want a motivated, personable and entrepreneurial Physical Therapist who sees the opportunity to help build a strong PT program within an already established practice.
2+ years desired experience of outpatient physical therapy preferred, particularly in orthopedic, musculoskeletal, sports rehabilitation, or veteran populations. Experience with VA Community Care and Medicare is a plus, but not required.

Whether you are looking for supplemental income, a flexible part-time opportunity, or a place where you can develop your own patient population, we would like to talk with you.
