Job Description About us: Burlington Recreation and Parks offers many parks and specialized facilities located throughout the community for all types of recreation. Learn more about Burlington's unique parks and facilities. What you will do: Performs routine clerical work in a variety of tasks requiring a qualified typist; does related work as required.

Includes weekend scheduling. This is a part-time position with scheduled hours not to exceed 1,000 a year. This is a seasonal position through the months of May to September.

Examples of Duties Calculate and collect admission fees, ensuring accurate transactions and providing change as needed. Issue receipts and generate user group reports upon request or as required. Maintain continuous connection with DigiQuatics aquatic management software for scheduling and reporting.

Reconcile cash drawer and receipts at the end of each shift, preparing for daily deposit. Field inquiries regarding hours, fees, programs, and activities, providing clear and accurate information. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to routine facility upkeep and cleanliness.

File and submit required documents in an orderly manner. Sell prepackaged concessions, ensuring customer satisfaction with quality service. Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all pool patrons.

Foster a fun and safe atmosphere, ensuring the pool is an enjoyable space for the community. Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team. Qualifications General understanding of office practices including standard procedures, equipment, and clerical techniques.

Familiarity with business English, spelling, and basic arithmetic for effective communication and tasks. Proficient typing skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently. Capable of performing simple arithmetic calculations and maintaining organized alphabetical filing systems.

Ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and the public, ensuring effective collaboration. Skilled in following both oral and written instructions, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Minimum Qualifications: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, with coursework in typing and secretarial subjects, along with some clerical and typing experience.

Candidate must be at least 16 years of age. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work. CPR PRO and First Aid certified (or ability to achieve).

Preferred Qualifications: One to two years' experience working in customer service. Supplemental Information Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work in this class is generally sedentary. Work requires the ability to hear and talk in order to communicate with the public and other employees.
