This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time employment who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants to learn valuable skills in professional golf course maintenance.
Previous golf course experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Experience in landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, construction, agriculture, parks and grounds maintenance, or other outdoor work is a plus.
Important Schedule Requirement
Weekend availability is required for this position.
The maintenance team works early morning shifts, and part-time employees will be scheduled to work weekends. Candidates must be able to consistently report to work on time for their scheduled shifts.
If you are unable to regularly work weekends, this position will not be a good fit.
Additional weekday hours are available.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with mowing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas.
  • Assist with bunker maintenance, including raking and general upkeep.
  • Assist with the care and maintenance of turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, and other landscaped areas.
  • Operate smaller golf course maintenance equipment as directed.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and properly organized.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing a job well.
The most important qualities are:
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends consistently.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently when assigned a task.

Working Conditions
This is an outdoor, physically active position.
Employees should be comfortable:
  • Working outdoors for extended periods.
  • Working in San Antonio's heat, humidity, cold, and changing weather conditions.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, stooping, sitting, and performing repetitive physical tasks.
  • Operating maintenance equipment.
  • Occasionally lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Why Work in Golf Course Maintenance?
Golf course maintenance provides an opportunity to learn skills that can lead to long-term opportunities in the golf and turf industry.

At San Antonio Country Club, you will be part of a professional maintenance team responsible for maintaining a high-quality private golf course.
If you enjoy working outdoors, want a part-time position, take pride in your work, and are looking for a team that values reliability and a willingness to learn, we'd like to hear from you.
