The Opportunity:
Washington State University Tri-Cities College of Nursing invites applications for caring, committed nurses to work as part-time, fixed-term, Adjunct Faculty, providing clinical instruction to students in our pre-licensure BSN program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a person who wants to make a significant difference working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff within of the College of Nursing, to help create both knowledge and community impact across the state of Washington and beyond.The College of Nursing encourages applications from faculty who have a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and an understanding of the WSU land-grant mission.
We are seeking candidates with clinical experience in any and all nursing specialties including:

This is a non-tenure track position with the opportunity for a 4.5-month appointment, depending on availability and need, providing clinical instruction for traditional semester-long courses for 4.5 months (Fall and/or Spring Semesters). The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment beyond the semester assignment. Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following departments within the College of Nursing, based on specialty and experience, unless a specific department preference is provided in the application materials. Fixed-term positions are expected to end on either December 31st for Fall Semester, or May 15th for Spring Semester. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension.

Academic Salary: $35,708.57 - $37,880.78 (1.0 FTE)
Salary will be pro-rated based upon FTE and appointment length at time of offer and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.

Required qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in Nursing or closely related field OR candidates currently enrolled in an approved Nursing Master's program may be eligible for hire.
  • Licensure or eligible for license as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an educator, preceptor, or clinical evaluator.
