Part time traveling couples are pairs who work together in various roles that require travel but only on a part-time basis. These jobs often involve seasonal work, house sitting, pet sitting, travel blogging, or assisting at events and resorts. The flexible schedule allows couples to balance travel with other commitments or jobs. Many couples choose this lifestyle for the opportunity to explore new places while earning income together. This arrangement can offer both adventure and a unique work-life balance.

How do part time traveling couples typically coordinate their schedules and responsibilities when working with multiple clients or locations?

Part time traveling couples often need to be highly organized and communicative to successfully coordinate their assignments across different clients or destinations. They usually divide tasks based on individual strengths, such as one partner handling logistics and bookings while the other manages client communications or onsite responsibilities. Flexibility is key, as travel dates and client needs can change frequently. Regular planning meetings and shared digital calendars are common tools to keep both partners aligned and ensure smooth operations between assignments.

At Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) serving seniors isn't just a job, it's a calling. When you join our team, you become part of a close-knit, servant-hearted community guided by our Core Values: Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence.
About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic couple or two-person team to serve as Part-Time Traveling Community Managers, providing leadership and operational support to our Independent Living Retirement Communities across the country during periods of management transition.
This unique part-time opportunity is ideal for a flexible, service-minded team that enjoys travel, problem-solving, and making an immediate impact. You'll step into communities between permanent management teams, helping maintain operational excellence, support employees, and ensure residents continue to receive exceptional service.
As Traveling Community Managers, your mission is simple but meaningful:
  • Happy Employees
  • Happy Residents
  • Full Occupancy
  • On-Budget Operations

You will travel to communities as needed to provide stability, leadership, and hands-on support during management vacancies, leaves of absence, or special projects. This role requires adaptability, strong leadership skills, and a willingness to jump into any area of community operations when needed.
What We're Looking For
  • A couple or two-person team passionate about serving seniors
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to support communities nationwide
  • Applicants must be at least 25 years old to meet our liability insurance requirements for operating the resident shuttle.
  • Strong leadership, hospitality, sales, and customer service skills
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales and marketing goals
  • Budget management and financial analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience hiring, training, and leading large teams
  • A servant-leadership mindset with the flexibility to step into various operational roles as needed
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and build relationships with residents and employees

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide interim leadership and support at communities experiencing management transitions
  • Oversee community operations including sales, dining, activities, housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, and resident services
  • Maintain compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Assist communities in achieving occupancy, financial, and operational goals
  • Foster a positive culture that supports both employees and residents
  • Serve as a trusted resource during transitions, helping communities remain stable and successful

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive part-time compensation-this is a part-time, as-needed position. Team members are paid at an annualized equivalent of $60,000 per year ($1,153.85 per week) while actively working an assignment. Compensation is not provided during periods between assignments. Travel-related expenses and accommodations are provided while on assignment.
  • Flexible scheduling between assignments
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple communities nationwide

Why RLC?
  • Fast-growing, family-owned company with 60+ communities nationwide
  • Opportunity to travel and experience different communities and regions
  • Supportive leadership and collaborative culture
  • A purpose-driven role where you can make a difference wherever you're needed most

Ready to Lead with Heart?
Bring your servant heart, leadership experience, and adventurous spirit to a role where every assignment helps residents and employees thrive. Both applicants must submit separate applications, and our Talent Acquisition Team will follow up soon.
