Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year


Job description / Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized assessment, treatment, and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including evaluation of wound size, characteristics, tissue type, presence of infection, and pain levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Provide advanced wound care treatments, including wound cleansing, debridement, dressing applications, and wound closure techniques.
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate, including topical treatments, antibiotics, and pain management medications.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as wound cultures, imaging studies, and laboratory tests to guide treatment and monitor healing progress.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care practices, prevention strategies, and treatment plan compliance.
  • Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clinical findings.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, including surgeons, vascular providers, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive management of complex wounds.
  • Maintain current knowledge of wound care advancements, evidence-based practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and wound care-related research activities.
  • Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards governing advanced nursing practice.

We are currently seeking Nurse Practitioners in:

  • Raleigh-Durham and the Greater Triangle Area
  • Eastern North Carolina, including:
  • Wilson
  • Greenville
  • Goldsboro
  • Kinston

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted APRN/Nurse Practitioner license (Required)
  • Experience in wound care, advanced practice nursing, or related clinical specialties preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to travel throughout the service area

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
