Job description

The New Philadelphia City Schools is seeking multiple part-time Reading Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.  
The successful candidates must meet one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Have a K-12 reading endorsement
  • Completed a master's degree with a major in reading or literacy
  • Earned a passing score on a rigorous test of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction (Praxis 5205-formerly Praxis 5203)
  • Holds an applicable license (PK-3, 4-9, or K-12 intervention specialist) issued on or after July 1, 2017 


The successful applicants will be awarded a one year contract and will be responsible to provide small group intervention to students at one of our elementary buildings.
These are part-time positions for 5.75/hrs each day, Monday through. Friday.  The positions do not include health insurance benefits.
