  • Make an Impact! Are you looking to join a highly respected Healthcare Services Organization whose main focus is on patients and customer care excellence? Are you an effective communicator and enjoy speaking on the phone? We currently have an opening in our Telecommunications group. The Telecommunication department supports the routine and emergency activities for the health system's four acute care hospitals and acts as a support to the rehabilitation hospital during its off hours. The department operates on a 24-hour, 7 day a week schedule and is the first point of contact for external and internal inbound callers. You'll be an integral member of the team where you'll work in a fast paced, multi-line environment encountering situations ranging from simple to complex and must be able to make immediate, independent decisions and take decisive action to preserve life and property.

Position: Telecom Center Specialist 
Shift: 7AM-3PM (Sun-Thurs)
Experience: 
1. Minimum of two years recent experience in a fast-paced multi-line customer service, call center or telecommunication environment. 
2. Minimum of one-year recent customer service experience. Knowledge of hospital operations, emergency management and/or scheduling preferred. 
3. Medical terminology required. 
4. Proven ability to prioritize while working under pressure with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality. Proficient organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) to sufficiently interact with internal and external customers. 
5. Must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must contribute to and support a team model based on collaboration and respect. 
6. Familiarity with telecommunication technology and proficient with Microsoft Office required. 
7. Ability ty to type 40 words a minute preferred
