Job Description
JOB TITLE: Site Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Recreation
SALARY RANGE: $13.00 to $16.00 hr. (depending on experience)
SUPERVISOR: Recreation Manager and Sports Coordinator
Various shifts available: Part-Time Temporary
Schedule will vary: Monday- Friday (Evenings) 5:00pm - 9:30pm, Saturdays (Morning - Afternoon) 8:00am - 3:00pm
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Officiate assigned games for leagues and tournament play. Ensures guidelines, rules and sportsmanship are enforced. Assist in field and/or court set-up and take down. Conduct safety and related inspections. Report any field and/or court problems to Recreation Coordinator. Report any problems with coaches, players, parents or spectators to Recreation Coordinator. Ensure safety of staff, participants and citizens. Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general supervision of the Sports Coordinator, and Recreation Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Provides close to general supervision to Sports coordinator, program aide(s), leaders, and other part-time and seasonal workers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Officiate youth sports games
  • Know the rules to the game officiating

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Experience: Must be 16 years old or older. Must have played and/or knowledge of a variety of different sports. Training will be provided.
Certifications: None
Knowledge of:
  • The sport being officiated.
  • The rules of the game being officiated.

Ability to:
  • Communicate effectively to coaches, staff, players & parents
  • Run/walk & stand for at least 4-6 hours
  • Effectively manage time
  • Multi-Task
  • Deal with weather conditions
