Summary
The City of Issaquah is seeking a part-time Facility Supervisor to join our team at the Issaquah Community Center! In this role, you'll help transition programs, open and close the building, and make sure everything runs smoothly for all enjoying recreation! It's a great opportunity to gain confidence and leadership experience, build your resume, and make a positive impact in our community. If you are responsible, friendly, dependable, self-motivated, and excited by the idea of wearing sweats and sneakers to work, we encourage you to apply.
Essential Functions
โ€ข Ensure proper program procedures are followed, regarding safety and program guidelines.
โ€ข Open and close facility and supervise the site throughout the work shift.
โ€ข Set up and take down tables and chairs as required for various programming.
โ€ข Set up and take down volleyball nets as required.
โ€ข Ensure facility and grounds are kept neat, clean and litter free. Perform basic custodial and light maintenance duties.
โ€ข Provide information to the public concerning recreation programs, policies, regulations and schedules.
โ€ข Complete Incident Reports when necessary and administer CPR as needed.
โ€ข Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
โ€ข Minimum of 17 years of age.
โ€ข Interest in community recreation and/or education programs preferred.
โ€ข Certifications in CPR & AED, or ability to obtain upon hire.
โ€ข Must pass a criminal background check prior to hire, if 18 years of age.
โ€ข A combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills & abilities to perform the job will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
โ€ข Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, courtesy and respect.
โ€ข General rules, regulations, practices, and terminology of Issaquah Parks & Community Services Department.
โ€ข Maintenance requirements and expectations of Community Center and grounds.
SKILL IN:
โ€ข Analyzing situations quickly and adopting an effective course of action.
โ€ข Communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
โ€ข Reading, interpreting, applying and explaining rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
โ€ข Maintaining current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements, and restrictions.
ABILITY TO:
โ€ข Establish rapport and maintain cooperative working relationships with patrons and fellow staff.
Paid Sick Leave is available to employees to care for their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of their family members. All non-exempt employees in part-time, non-regular positions shall accrue paid Sick and Safe Leave at the rate of one (1) hour for forty (40) hours worked, beginning from date of hire.
Some part-time, non-regular positions are eligible for retirement benefits through the Washington State Retirement System.
