Job description

The Bridge Family Center is looking for a part time Driver for its Quality Parenting Center in Cromwell, CT. The Driver is responsible for providing reliable and safe transportation for children and/or families to and from scheduled visits.

The Bridge Family Center offers competitive pay and great benefits for part time employees, including:

Part Time:

  • Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide transportation for children and/or families to scheduled visits at the QPC during both day and evening hours.

  1. Maintain consistent communication with the Program Director and scheduler.
  2. Report any safety concerns immediately.
  3. Complete and submit monthly vehicle maintenance documentation
  4. Coordinate vehicle maintenance as needed and arrange for replacement vehicle (as needed).
  5. Cordially interact with passengers. Address difficult situations in the moment and report them to the Program Director and Family Life Coach.
  6. Additional duties as assigned. Flexibility required to meet schedule changes, as needed.

Qualifications: Valid CT Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Bilingual Spanish/English speaking preferred to meet the needs of the clients. Must be able to address and take control of difficult situations in the moment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Experience working with children and families strongly preferred. Possess the following certifications, or be eligible to obtain these after hire: Adult/Child CPR & First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Visit Coaching Model Training, and additional DCF trainings as determined by the program.
