Job description

Description
The Art School, within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University, invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching. Part-time teaching opportunities fluctuate from quarter to quarter throughout the academic year. The applicants with expertise that match the course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. The School will work with selected individuals to determine their schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the School does its best to give ample notice about available classes or potential course cancellations.
Qualifications
- a cover letter indicating teaching experience and interests.
- a current CV, MFA in Art, or a related area
- 2 years of teaching experience is required. This could include
an instructor of record position while in graduate school.
- Experience teaching at a university or liberal arts college preferred.
- Examples of their artwork, and student work-if available (Which can be a website)
- list of three professional references
- 2 examples of syllabi and corresponding student evaluations
Application Instructions
The applicant's schedule must be flexible to accommodate quarterly course schedules (studio block meets for 2 hours and 45 minutes, twice a week, M/W, TU/TH).

Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
