Job description

If you are passionate about hospitality, energetic, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, Mason Street Grill is in search of a Part-Time Busser who will support our servers and maintain a clean, well-prepared dining room for our guests.

As a Busser at Mason Street Grill, you will play a key role in ensuring that tables are promptly cleared, reset, and fully stocked. You will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to provide seamless service, creating memorable dining experiences that keep our guests coming back again and again.

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for wood-grilled steaks, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and live jazz music. In addition to great food and drinks, we provide service you can't find anywhere else. At Mason Street, we want to serve experiences-from the aromas from the grill to the sounds of live music and the taste of a perfectly crafted cocktail.

What You Will Be Doing:

         Set and arrange tables per reservations throughout the shift.

         Remove dirty dishes promptly from the dining and bar areas.

         Deliver bread to tables.

         Fill and refill water glasses as needed.

         Reset tables efficiently according to service standards.

         Maintain stock of glassware, silverware, plates, ice, and linen throughout the shift.

         Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and detailed bathroom cleaning.

         Transport spoiled linens at the end of the shift.

         Assist servers with guest requests to ensure satisfaction.

         Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

         Ability to carry a food tray through a crowded room.

         Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and transport up to 50 lbs. through crowded spaces.

         Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

         Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

         Ability to multi-task and stay composed during busy service hours.

         Prior restaurant or hospitality experience required.

         Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.
