Position Summary

The Barback is responsible for supporting bar operations by ensuring all bar areas are properly stocked, organized, and maintained. This role assists bartenders by replenishing supplies, preparing service areas, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient bar operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming
  • Stock and maintain bar areas with required supplies before, during, and after service
  • Assist bartenders by replenishing liquor, beer, mixers, glassware, ice, and other supplies
  • Set up bar stations, including cutting fruit, stocking ice, and preparing service areas
  • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of bar areas throughout shifts
  • Maintain bar cleanliness in compliance with health department standards
  • Maintain established par levels and assist with ordering and receiving bar supplies
  • Deliver and organize bar supply orders and restock storage areas
  • Sort bottles, recyclables, and cardboard for proper disposal and recycling
  • Report maintenance or equipment issues to Beverage Operations leadership
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulations
  • Comply with responsible alcohol service training requirements (S.M.A.R.T. or T.I.P.S.)
  • Provide consistent support to bartenders and beverage staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a professional, clean, and guest-ready appearance at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to operate or learn mobile devices and touchscreen systems
  • Commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License

Preferred:

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience
  • Experience using smartphones, tablets, or digital work applications
Certification Requirements
  • TIPS Alcohol Awareness Certification (required or as assigned)
  • ServSafe Certification (preferred or required depending on assignment)
  • Nebraska Gaming License (required and must be maintained)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout shifts
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds (ice, kegs, supplies, boxes)
  • Exposure to loud environments, bar equipment, and high guest traffic areas
  • Work in fast-paced casino and entertainment settings
  • Frequent teamwork and communication with bartenders and beverage staff
