Job description

Job Description The Camas-Washougal Municipal Court is looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven Court Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll play an important part as the Work Crew Coordinator, and in supporting the court's daily operations, helping ensure cases move forward smoothly while providing clear, respectful assistance to the public. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week: Tuesday/Thursday 8am-5pm required, flexible on remaining hours).

The role is represented by the CPEA bargaining unit and includes a pro-rated benefits package. Job Duties What you'll do Register, schedule and follow up, as needed, with work crew program participants Serve as a key point of contact with the public, providing accurate information and support Assist with case processing, records management, and court documentation Maintain organized and up-to-date files within court systems Support courtroom operations and administrative functions as needed Collaborate with court staff to ensure efficient and professional service What success looks like Court records are accurate, organized, and up to date Customers feel respected, informed, and supported Daily operations run smoothly and efficiently You take initiative and adapt to changing priorities with confidence Minimum Qualifications Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Two years of administrative support experience in a court or legal setting Valid driver's license Preferred qualifications Experience in municipal court operations Familiarity with Judicial Information System (JIS) software Foreign language skills What will set you apart A positive, professional attitude and strong sense of initiative Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and decision-making abilities Comfort with computer systems and attention to detail Flexibility to work occasional non-standard hours as needed Supplemental Information 20 hours/week Open until filled; first application review will be May 29 All application materials must be attached when the application is submitted.
