Job Description Summary
The College of Professional Studies at Shawnee State University seeks qualified individuals beginning Fall and Spring Semesters to serve as Part-time Faculty (Adjunct) in the C.H. Lute School of Business for the classes listed below:
  • Accounting
  • Health Care Administration
  • Information Systems Management
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Sport Management
  • Master of Business Administration
Note to Applicants for online teaching opportunities: Preference is given to individuals with formal training and/or previous experience in online delivery of courses.
Minimum Qualifications
(EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and EXPERIENCE)
  1. Master's degree in the respective or related area (doctorate required to teach in MBA program)
  2. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
  3. Familiarity with and ability to utilize existing and emerging technology in teaching
  4. Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  5. Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural environment
  6. Ability/willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments - daytime availability a plus (in some cases, may be required)
