Job description

Job Summary:
As a Merchandise Team Member, you will work in one of the 60 plus unique shops that call Silver Dollar City home. You will provide friendly, outgoing service to our guests and keep the shop clean and stocked properly. But this isn't your typical job in retail. Sure, we always have souvenirs from our 1880s theme park in stock ... but you could also be selling delicious taffy, mouth-watering cinnamon bread or even custom-made furniture built by one of our world-renowned craftsmen!
This position starts now and ends 01/08/2027.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to assist the Merchandise teams.
  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment as deemed necessary.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Assists guests by answering questions, providing product information, and other related services.
  • Stocks shelves, counters, and/or tables with merchandise.
  • Operates Point of Sale register following cash handling and credit card procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Picks up, removes and records amount of cash in register at beginning and end of shift.
  • Wraps and/or bags merchandise for customers.
  • Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.

Education/Experience:
One to three months related experience and/or training required.
Physical Requirements
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Frequently standing and walking in uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, concrete.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
  • The ability to work in extreme weather.
  • The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions.
  • The ability to safely climb ladders, hills and stairs.
